First Officer Position at Republic Airways
Republic Airways, a leading North American regional airline, seeks a highly skilled and dedicated First Officer to join our team. The First Officer will work closely with the Captain, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our Embraer 170/175 aircraft fleet. This is a pivotal role contributing directly to the success of our 900+ daily flights across the U.S. and Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Captain in comprehensive flight planning, utilizing all relevant weather data and adhering strictly to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and company procedures.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections, ensuring aircraft airworthiness in compliance with FARs and company standards.
- Participate in the precise planning and fueling of flights to optimize safety and regulatory compliance.
- Operate the aircraft safely and effectively throughout the assigned duty period, following Captain's instructions, FARs, and company protocols.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of aircraft systems, relevant FARs, manuals, policies, and procedures.
- Inform crew and passengers of potential turbulence or other operational factors impacting the flight.
- Complete accurate load manifests for each flight.
- Contribute to on-time performance by assisting the Captain in meeting all reporting, departure, and turnaround times.
- Assist in the efficient handling of aircraft, passengers, baggage, and cargo at the terminal.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance according to company guidelines.
- Present a professional demeanor and adhere to the company's dress code.
- Uphold professional conduct at all times, observing the Rules of Conduct detailed in the Flight Operations Manual and related policies.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills and performance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Captain or company management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Fulfillment of minimum requirements for an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) or Restricted Airline Transport Pilot (RATP) certificate.
- ATP written examination preferred.
- Compliance with FAA and company minimum age and flight hour requirements. Candidates meeting interview minimums but not hiring minimums will be considered for hire upon successful completion of the interview process and meeting hiring minimums within six months, with no certificate action, misdemeanors, or felonies since the interview date, and acceptance of a class date within six months.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior customer service experience, ideally within an aviation setting.
