First Officer Position at Republic Airways
Republic Airways, a leading North American regional airline, seeks a highly skilled and motivated First Officer to join our dynamic team. This role involves assisting the Captain in all aspects of flight operations, ensuring safe and efficient aircraft management.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Captain in comprehensive flight planning, utilizing all relevant weather data and adhering strictly to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections to confirm aircraft airworthiness in compliance with FARs and company procedures.
- Contribute to meticulous flight planning and fueling to maintain optimal safety and regulatory compliance.
- Execute safe and precise aircraft operation throughout the duty period, following the Captain's instructions, FARs, and company policies.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of aircraft systems, relevant FARs, and all operational manuals, policies, and procedures.
- Effectively communicate with crew and passengers regarding weather conditions or other operational factors influencing the flight.
- Accurately complete flight load manifests.
- Contribute to on-time operations by assisting the Captain in meeting all reporting, departure, and turnaround times.
- Provide efficient ground support, ensuring proper handling of aircraft, passengers, baggage, and cargo.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance, adhering to company protocols.
- Project a professional image at all times, complying with the company's dress code.
- Adhere to the highest professional standards of conduct as outlined in the Flight Operations Manual, Associate Handbook, and other company policies.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills and performance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Captain or company management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Fulfillment of minimum requirements for an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) or Restricted ATP (RATP) certificate.
- ATP written examination preferred.
- Adherence to FAA and company minimum age and flight hour requirements. Candidates meeting interview minimums but not hiring minimums will be considered for hire upon successful interview completion, contingent on meeting hiring minimums within six months, maintaining a clean certificate record, and absence of misdemeanors or felonies since the interview date, along with accepting a class date within six months.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior customer service experience, ideally within the aviation industry.
