The Role

The successful candidate will serve as Pilot-in-Command, entrusted with the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the Learjet 45 fleet in strict adherence to company policies and regulatory standards. As Captain, the incumbent will uphold the highest standards of airmanship, professionalism, and crew resource management (CRM), playing a critical role in fostering a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement across operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate as Pilot-in-Command of Learjet 45 flights under EASA (or applicable authority) regulations and the company’s Air Operator Certificate (AOC).
  • Assume full operational responsibility and authority for assigned flights, ensuring their safe, legal, and efficient conduct at all times.
  • Lead the flight crew throughout all phases of flight, including comprehensive pre-flight planning, efficient execution, and thorough post-flight review.
  • Adhere strictly to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), regulatory standards, flight and duty limitations, and robust risk management practices.
  • Conduct thorough briefings, performance planning, and effective coordination with Dispatch, Ground Handling personnel, and Maintenance teams.
  • Maintain current knowledge of aircraft systems, operational procedures, NOTAMs, meteorological conditions, and destination-specific information.
  • Mentor and support First Officers; actively contribute to training and safety improvement initiatives within the flight department.
  • Represent PRIVAJET with the utmost professionalism in all interactions with clients, aviation authorities, and third-party stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • EASA ATPL(A) with a valid Learjet 45 type rating.
  • Valid OPC/LPC.
  • Flight Radio-Telephony Operator’s Licence (VHF and HF).
  • Minimum of 3,000 total flight hours, including at least 1,500 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on multi-pilot, multi-engine turboprop/turbojet aircraft.
  • Maximum age: 62 years at the time of application.

Additional Attributes:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification (higher education is preferred).
  • Fluent command of the English language, meeting minimum ICAO Level 4 qualification (additional languages are considered advantageous).
  • Demonstrated commitment to aviation safety and outstanding customer satisfaction, even when operating under pressure.
  • Flexibility to travel extensively and work irregular hours as required by operational demands.
  • Possession of a valid passport and/or work permit allowing residency and employment within Europe.
  • Previous experience operating within the Business Aviation sector is highly desirable.
  • Additional aircraft type ratings or instructor qualifications (TRI/TRE) are considered valuable assets.
  • Prior EASA post holder training is advantageous.
