Position Overview
Priority Wire & Cable, a leading supplier of wire and cable in the United States and Canada, seeks a highly professional and experienced Senior Flight Attendant based in Little Rock, AR. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of all passengers during domestic and international flights. This role requires an individual who can work independently within established procedures, demonstrating proficiency in all competencies of in-flight support. Reporting to the Senior Pilot or the Head of the Flight Department, this position is integral to our corporate flight operations team.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the highest standards of passenger safety and security by demonstrating the use of emergency equipment and enforcing all applicable regulations.
- Deliver exceptional in-flight service, including the serving of beverages, meals, and snacks, while maintaining a clean and comfortable cabin environment.
- Participate in pre-flight briefings to discuss flight details, weather conditions, and service plans, and perform comprehensive pre-flight safety checks.
- Greet passengers, assist with seating and the proper stowage of carry-on items, and address all passenger inquiries professionally.
- Provide specialized assistance to passengers with special needs and reassure all passengers during periods of turbulence or unusual flight conditions.
- Administer first aid or medical care in the event of an emergency and provide clear instruction during emergency evacuation procedures.
- Work cohesively with the flight operations team and customers to ensure a seamless and positive travel experience.
- Maintain and manage all in-flight supplies and may be required to direct contract flight attendants when necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience as a Flight Attendant.
- Possession of a valid U.S. passport with the ability to travel internationally without restriction.
- Current and valid certifications in First Aid, CPR, and Emergency Procedures.
- Strong understanding of flight operation procedures, policies, and safety regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated organizational, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
- Proven ability to remain calm and composed in fast-paced, stressful, and emergency situations.
- Meticulous attention to detail and diligence in seeking resolution to issues.
- Ability to be scheduled away from home for multiple consecutive days, with required travel up to 75%.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and applicable flight software.
- Capability of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a corporate aviation setting is highly preferred.
- An Associate’s degree in flight operations or a related field is a plus.
Work Environment
The role requires the ability to work in diverse environments, including aircraft cabins and maintenance hangars. The employee will be exposed to varying noise levels, occasional vibrations, and fuel fumes. The candidate must be willing and able to work in all weather conditions, which may include extreme heat and cold. This position requires the employee to occasionally stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crawl and to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
