Prospective candidates for this aviation role are required to meet specific flight experience and certification benchmarks. A total flight time of no less than 2500 hours is mandatory. Within this total, a minimum of 1000 hours must be logged as Pilot in Command (PIC), and a minimum of 500 hours must be in multi-engine aircraft. Furthermore, applicants must hold a current First Class Medical Certificate and an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate. While a Bachelor's degree is preferred, it is not a mandatory requirement. Successful candidates will either reside within a one-hour commute of Durango, Colorado (DRO) or demonstrate a willingness to relocate to the area. The ability to consistently work 12-hour shifts is also a necessary component of this position.
