Responsibilities
The Corporate Chief Pilot will assume management of Pratt & Whitney's corporate flight department, overseeing all pilot operations and ensuring compliance with Canadian Air Regulation CAR 604. This role includes:
- Maintaining the highest safety standards in all flight and training operations.
- Conducting or assigning line indoctrination and flight checks to assess pilot proficiency.
- Ensuring all crew members perform their duties professionally and competently.
- Scheduling all pilot training events.
- Reviewing, updating, and amending Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and aircraft publications.
- Acting as pilot-in-command of corporate aircraft.
Qualifications
- College degree in piloting or equivalent.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Transport Canada Civil Aviation Regulation (CAR) 604 pertaining to flight department operations.
- Proven management experience within a CAR 604 or 700 organization.
- Valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) with a minimum of 8,000 total flight hours.
- Transport Canada Category 1 medical certificate.
- Ability to obtain Transport Canada security clearance and CANPASS.
- Ability to meet TSA requirements for training in the USA.
- Excellent proficiency in French (working language) and strong English skills (reading, writing, and communication with international organizations, clients, and colleagues).
