Corporate Flight Department Manager
Pratt & Whitney, a leader in aerospace propulsion, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Flight Department Manager to oversee its flight operations. This individual will be integral to maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism within the company's corporate aviation department.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure strict adherence to all flight procedures and safe training practices.
- Conduct or assign pilots for line indoctrination and flight checks, evaluating pilot competency.
- Oversee crew member performance, ensuring all duties are executed professionally.
- Manage the planning and scheduling of all pilot training events.
- Review, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and aircraft publications.
- Act as a pilot in command of the company’s corporate aircraft.
Qualifications:
- College degree in piloting or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of Transport Canada Civil Aviation Regulation (CAR) 604 pertaining to flight operations.
- Proven management experience within a CAR 604 or 700 organization.
- Possession of a valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) with a minimum of 8,000 hours total flying time.
- Valid Transport Canada Category 1 medical certificate.
- Ability to obtain a Transport Canada security clearance and CANPASS certification.
- Ability to meet TSA requirements for training in the United States.
- Proficiency in both French and English is essential, with a strong emphasis on English language skills to read and comprehend technical documentation, and communicate effectively with international partners.
