Poseidon Aerospace is seeking a skilled Pilot to serve as Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC) for their autonomous cargo aircraft in San Francisco. This full-time, on-site role within the Test and Flight Operations department requires a pilot with extensive UAS operational experience to lead developmental flight testing and ground support for Heron and Egret aircraft.
About the Role
The Pilot will function as the Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC) for Poseidon Aerospace's innovative autonomous aircraft. Responsibilities encompass full flight ownership from preflight to post-flight, including precise execution of flight test cards, leading preflight and postflight briefings, and making critical go/no-go decisions. When not flying, the Pilot will actively support the ground test team, contributing to range setup, documentation, airspace coordination, and aircraft system verification. This position is ideal for pilots who prioritize hands-on flying experience, possess sharp situational awareness, and demonstrate the discipline required for safe, repeatable test operations.
Requirements

Demonstrated experience as RPIC for UAS or RPAS platforms in operational or test environments.

FAA Part 107 certification and familiarity with COA processes and experimental aircraft operations.

FAA Part 61 or Part 141 certificated pilot (Private, Commercial, or ATP) with multi-engine privileges.

Strong working knowledge of airspace coordination, mission planning, and preflight risk assessment.

Ability to execute disciplined, repeatable test operations in dynamic field environments.

Clear, structured communication skills, with the ability to lead briefs and debriefs for mixed engineering and operations audiences.

Comfort working with evolving aircraft configurations and at a startup's operational tempo.
Qualifications (Bonus Points)

Familiarity with telemetry systems, GCS interfaces, and autopilot behavior in test configurations.
