Aviation Training Specialist
PlaneSense, Inc., a leader in private aviation with over 30 years of experience, is seeking a full-time Aviation Training Specialist to join its dynamic training team at its headquarters in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. This role contributes to the enhancement of training programs and operational standards within a collaborative, safety-focused environment.
About the Role
The Aviation Training Specialist is responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive training programs for flight operations staff, with a particular emphasis on the Integrated Operations Center (IOC). This position requires an individual who is personable, innovative, and organized, with the ability to adapt instruction to various learning styles, manage multiple training schedules, and cultivate a positive learning atmosphere. Key Responsibilities

Design, update, and deliver flight operations training programs in alignment with FAA regulations and company policies.

Lead classroom and hands-on training sessions.

Monitor regulatory changes and update training materials accordingly.

Maintain training manuals, syllabi, and lesson plans.

Promote operational safety, standardization, and efficiency.

Assess trainee performance and provide constructive feedback.

Recommend improvements to training methodologies.

Collaborate with flight operations leadership and safety teams.

Support operational audits and changes.

Maintain accurate training records and track compliance.

Coordinate training events and report completion status.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Education, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

A minimum of 1 year of experience in curriculum development and instructional delivery.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in an aviation training program operating under parts 61, 91(k), 135, or 121.

Familiarity with 14 CFR 61, 91, 91(k), or 135 regulations.

Possession of an FAA Pilot Certificate, Dispatcher Certificate, or equivalent experience.

Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS).

Proven experience implementing customer service best practices.
