Flight Attendant - Inflight Service Department

Piedmont Airlines is seeking a motivated, reliable professional to join the Inflight Service Department as a Flight Attendant. This role is responsible for maintaining industry-leading safety standards and delivering exceptional service on American Eagle flights.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers onboard.
  • Provide leadership during emergency and non-emergency situations.
  • Manage a variety of inflight scenarios while maintaining continuous contact with the public.
  • Work independently in the aircraft cabin without direct supervision.
  • Operate across various climates and locations on variable, irregular shifts.

Job Qualifications and Competencies

  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Height requirements: Between 5’2” and 6’0”.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Possession of a valid passport for unrestricted travel to/from the United States.
  • Professional image: No visible tattoos; no facial, multiple, or upper ear piercings; no unnatural hair colors while in uniform.
  • Physical ability to walk/fit through aircraft aisles while facing forward, move quickly through over-wing exits, and sit in the jump seat without modification or seat belt extensions.
  • Willingness to work up to 14 hours per day, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED completion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Two (2) years of customer service experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting.
  • Ability to handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push or pull catering carts weighing in excess of 150 pounds.
  • Ability to assist passengers with disabilities, including the operation of wheelchairs.

Training and Requirements

Successful candidates must complete 32 days of paid ground school training in Charlotte, NC, with a requirement to reside at the designated hotel for five weeks. This is followed by up to two weeks of on-the-job training. Employment is contingent upon a clear driving record, a 10-year Criminal History Records Check, and a successful drug screen.
