About the Role:
The Ground School Instructor plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient training of new hire and current line pilots. This non-seniority position utilizes in-depth knowledge of aircraft systems and components to deliver engaging and comprehensive instruction. The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of training excellence, ensuring all course content meets stringent regulatory and company requirements.
Essential Duties:
- Deliver safe and efficient training to new hire and current line pilots.
- Provide instruction on aircraft systems, company policies and procedures, and other pilot-related subjects.
- Monitor and evaluate the training progress of line pilots, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional learning environment in classrooms and other training facilities.
- Contribute to the development and presentation of specialized department or company training initiatives.
- Remain current on industry best practices, regulations, and policies through continuous review of relevant publications.
- Maintain meticulous and accurate training records and documentation.
- Ensure all course content and instructional methods adhere to regulatory and company requirements.
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of aircraft systems and components.
- Demonstrated instructional and curriculum development experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Part 121 background with knowledge of Advanced Qualifications Programs (AQP) training.
- Prior experience with the EMB-145 aircraft type.
- Associate's or bachelor's degree.
- Current employment in a pilot or instructor position.
- EMB-145 type rating.
Work Environment:
- This role operates in both standard office and classroom environments, requiring the use of computers, telephones, whiteboards, projectors, and other related equipment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is essential.
Physical Requirements:
- The ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, reaching, lifting, and climbing up and down stairs.

Additional Information:
- Employment is contingent upon a clear driving record, successful completion of a 10-year criminal history records check and drug screening, and proof of high school or GED completion.
