Phifer Incorporated currently has an opening in our Tuscaloosa office for a Corporate Flight Attendant for our company aircraft, Falcon 50 EX, in a Part 91/135 operation. This position will be responsible for instructing and helping passengers throughout the duration of the flight. They will support the flight team with aircraft maintenance, cleaning of aircraft and hangar, acquisition of catering, maintaining / resupplying of aircraft stock, and maintenance of the hangar facility.
JOB SUMMARY: The Corporate Flight Attendant for the Falcon 50 EX will be responsible for ensuring a five-star level service experience for the aircraft passengers. The Attendant will also ensure all safety standards are adhered to at all times. The Attendant will provide a variety of services to passengers while following company procedures and established FAA regulations. Management may assign additional duties as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Will Greet passengers, advises, brief, assist and monitor passengers for routine and non-routine situations including medical emergencies
2. Will secure passenger commissary supplies, luggage, and comfort supplies for take off and landing
3. Will explain the use of safety equipment such as seat belts, oxygen masks, and life jackets
4. Will maintain aircraft in a ready status at all times
5. Plan menus, procure supplies and catering, provide food service to passengers and flight crew with attention to geographic, hygienic, personal and religious preferences
6. Observe passengers to detect signs of discomfort, and issue palliatives to relieve passenger ailments such as airsickness and insomnia. Administer first aid according to passenger distress when needed
7. Will answer questions regarding performance of aircraft, stopovers, and flight schedules
8. Will prepare reports showing inventory, passenger comments, and updates of the function of equipment in the galley and cabin
9. Will attend to the needs of the flight crew while in-flight, after the passenger needs are met
10. Will direct passengers in emergency landing and/or evacuations of aircraft
11. Will stock and maintain provisions including inventory of items paying attention to expiration dates
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. May perform other personal services such as distributing reading material and pointing out places of interest
2. May perform interior cleaning of the carrier to ensure carrier readiness at all times
3. May perform clerical duties
4. May work overnight and multi, consecutive days with some weekend work required
5. May flex time to account for off days during the work week
JOB SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
ACCEPTABLE EDUCATION:
Prefer an Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical
school
ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
2 years previous work experience in corporate, commercial or military aviation as a Flight Attendant
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
Certificate of completion for an approved cabin safety and emergency procedures
course within the last 24 months
Current U.S. Passport
Travel is a normal part of the working day with absence from home overnight and possibility of multi-day trips. Some weekend work is required. Some travel may require minimal notice.
