Professional Pilot Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Pilot to join our aviation team. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to safety, excellence in customer service, and the ability to operate within a dynamic aviation environment.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Conduct flights with strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, Canadian Aviation Regulations, the Aircraft Flight Manual, and the Company Operations Manual.
  • Monitor weather conditions and applicable NOTAMs, and determine precise fuel and oil requirements.
  • Perform accurate aircraft weight and balance calculations.
  • Review, amend, and accept Operational Flight Plans (Type B 705 operation).
  • Execute comprehensive pre-flight inspections prior to every departure.
  • Load, unload, and secure cargo and freight as required.
  • Maintain joint flight watch procedures with the flight dispatcher (Type B 705 operation).
  • Complete all post-flight duties, including recording flight times, logging defects, and confirming aircraft location when away from base.
  • Maintain and exceed Transport Canada qualification standards for pilots.
  • Perform additional operational duties as assigned.

Minimum Education, Experience, and Certifications

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent.
  • Possession of a Category 1 Medical.
  • Current Group 1 Instrument Rating.
  • Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) is required; 500 hours on DHC-8 is preferred.
  • Previous airline experience is considered an asset.
  • Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training is considered an asset.
  • Fluency in English with effective verbal and listening comprehension skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary transportation security clearances and authorizations.
