Elevate Aviation Safety as Chief Pilot Standards

This is an opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated aviation professional to join a dynamic and growing organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Pilot, the Chief Pilot Standards plays a critical role in ensuring the highest levels of safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume delegated responsibility from the Chief Pilot for tasks and assignments related to managing policies, pilot procedures, and SMS administration.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive pilot operating policies and procedures, prioritizing safety, regulatory compliance, and operational effectiveness.
- Conduct regular audits and maintain the company Flight Crew Training Manual.
- Champion a culture of positive employee engagement with a focus on customer satisfaction and on-time performance.
- Provide assistance in conducting aircraft, simulator, and ground training as required.
- Liaise with third-party service providers on aircraft operations, including performance data, charter flight coordination, Nav Canada, and airport authorities.
- Assist in the day-to-day oversight and supervision of pilot groups.
- Coordinate safety management system administration associated with documented policies and procedures, addressing any procedural gaps or audit findings.
- Maintain a proactive approach to safety, ensuring its integration into all decisions and actions.
- Maintain flight currency by flying a minimum of two scheduled days per month or as operationally required, adhering to Flight and Duty regulations and including office duties.
- Perform Line Checks and Approved Check Pilot (ACP) duties as needed.
- Provide support and assistance to the department as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned, showcasing a willingness to contribute beyond the defined scope.

The successful candidate will be a strong leader with a passion for aviation safety and a proven track record in operational excellence. They will possess the following:
Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent
- Valid Airline Transport Pilot License (aeroplanes) with a valid Group 1 Instrument Rating
- Type rating for at least one of the company's operated aircraft types
- Minimum of three years' experience as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on a company aircraft
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Company Operations Manual, Flight Crew Training Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, Company Check Pilot Manual, and relevant regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Ability to obtain and maintain all applicable transportation security clearances and authorizations
