Chief Pilot (604) - PAL Aerospace
PAL Aerospace seeks a qualified Chief Pilot (604) to join their team in St. John's, NL. PAL Aerospace operates divisions encompassing Airborne Surveillance, Medevac, and Charters. The company maintains bases in Campbell River, Halifax, St. John’s, and various international locations. Its fleet includes DHC-8-100/300, Beech King Air, Beech 1900, and a variety of managed turboprops and jets.
The Chief Pilot (604) is responsible for the following primary duties and responsibilities:
- Developing standard operating procedures.
- Developing or implementing all required approved training programs for air operator flight crews.
- Issuing directives and notices to flight crews as required.
- Ensuring the operational suitability and requirements of all aerodromes and routes served by the air operator.
- Actioning and distributing accident, incident, and other occurrence reports.
- Processing and actioning flight crew reports.
- Supervising flight crews.
- Assuming responsibilities delegated by the Operations Manager.
- Performing all other duties as outlined in the Company Operations Manual.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a type rating on Gulfstream G280.
- Ability to work effectively in a cohesive team environment.
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role is considered an asset.
- Excellent organizational skills are essential.
- Experience tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and submitting summaries and reports.
- Effective time management and planning skills are required.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products.
- International flight planning experience.
- Knowledge of airline operations.
- Document management proficiency.
- Valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- Instrument Rating.
- Multi-Engine Rating.
