Aviation Professional - Air Ambulance Pilot
In a landmark partnership, PAL Aerospace, Air Borealis, and Medavie Health NL have been entrusted with the design, management, and operation of integrated ambulance services for the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, commencing October 2024.
PAL Aerospace, a leader in special missions aviation with over 50 years of experience and a global presence in over 60 countries, is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Aviation Professional to join its team. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a dynamic and close-knit group committed to providing critical air ambulance services and ensuring the safety and well-being of the communities we serve. This position focuses on the operation of the King Air 350, encompassing all facets of service delivery including aircrew selection and assignment, aircraft maintenance oversight, development of standard operating procedures, and ensuring continuous aircraft and pilot availability. The successful candidate will be expected to meet the highest standards of professionalism and operational excellence.
Essential Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2000 hours of total flight time is required.
- The candidate must possess a minimum of 500 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) experience in multi-engine aircraft.
- A valid Transport Canada Commercial Pilot's License is mandatory.
- The candidate must hold a valid Transport Canada Group 1 Instrument Rating.
- A valid Transport Canada Class 1 Medical Certificate is required.
- A valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) is mandatory.
- The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
- The candidate must possess a current and valid passport at the time of hire.
- The candidate must be able to travel without restrictions to the United States.
- Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- The candidate must meet the Transport Canada English proficiency standard.
- The candidate must demonstrate flexibility to work all shifts and adapt to fluctuations in shift times, as required by operational demands and unforeseen circumstances.
- Demonstrated strong leadership and organizational capabilities are essential.
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities are crucial.
