Ornge, a leading critical care transport provider in Ontario, Canada, is seeking a skilled Rotor Wing First Officer to join their Aviation team based in Kenora & Thunder Bay. The Rotor Wing First Officer (FO) plays a crucial role in all aspects of aircraft operation, ensuring the safe and efficient transport of patients. This position requires the ability to operate in diverse conditions, manage pressure effectively, and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability. As a Second-in-Command (SIC), the FO assists the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) with flight planning, aircraft preparation, and carries out specific duties as assigned to support aircraft operations. Ornge pilots are integral to a province-wide network and may be required to provide flight support at various bases.
Candidates will be required to work various shifts, including day and night, weekends, and statutory holidays, in a 24/7 operational environment. Overnight stays away from the home base may be necessary. Successful candidates must reside within close proximity to their assigned base or be willing to relocate to ensure compliance with rest requirements and a one-and-a-half-hour response time when on-call.
