Learjet 45 Second in Command (SIC)
Omni Air Transport is seeking a qualified and experienced Learjet 45 Second in Command (SIC) to join its team. This is a home-based position requiring current qualification on the LR45 aircraft.
The Learjet 45 SIC will assist in planning and executing charter flights in compliance with all applicable regulations and company procedures. The SIC will operate the aircraft according to company manuals, assist the Pilot in Command (PIC) with pre- and post-flight duties, and conduct all flights with the highest regard for safety, security, and efficiency. Travel is required.
Schedule: 8 days on, 6 days off. Crew change occurs on the company's day, not the employee's. Crew changes occur every Tuesday, with approximately 400 hours of flying per year, primarily domestic.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and operating charter trips under applicable regulations.
- Operate aircraft per company manuals and procedures.
- Assist the PIC in required pre- and post-flight duties.
- Conduct all flights with the highest regard for safety, security, and efficiency.
- Travel as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Position: Second in Command (SIC)
- Location: Any
- License: Commercial Pilot License (with ATP written exam completed)
- Total Flight Time: 1500 hours
- Multi-engine Flight Time: 250 hours
- Actual Instrument Flight Time: 100 hours
- Type Rating: LR45
Requirements:
- Initial or Recurrent 142 LR45 training within the last 12 months (24 months if alternating aircraft).
- Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
- First Class Medical Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean countries.
- Excellent organizational and computer skills.
- Minimum of 18 years of age and a high school graduate.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Ability to easily adapt to change and new technology.
- Goal-oriented with exceptional attention to detail, and ability to work well independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to pass a ten-year Background/Criminal/OMV/Drug Screen.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
- ATP License.
- Minimum 2500 hours total flight time.
- Minimum 750 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) in jet aircraft.
- Impeccable customer service skills and solid work history.
- Solid understanding of business aviation and a strong work ethic.
