Application and Assessment Process
The selection process for the Norwegian Pilot Talent Pool is structured to identify candidates who align with the airline's high standards and values.

- Assessment Day Invitation: Qualified candidates will receive an exclusive invitation to attend an Assessment Day.
Assessment Day
The Assessment Day provides a comprehensive evaluation of a candidate's abilities and compatibility with Norwegian's operational environment and culture. The day typically includes:
- A detailed company presentation.
- A collaborative group exercise designed to assess teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- A two-on-one interview to delve deeper into experience and motivation.
- A challenging simulator session, evaluating performance as both Pilot Flying (PF) and Pilot Monitoring (PM).
Post-Assessment Outcome
- Candidates will be informed of the Assessment Day outcome shortly after its completion.
- Unsuccessful candidates are encouraged to refine their skills and reapply after a minimum period of 12 months.
- Successful candidates will be placed into a holding pool, from which potential offers will be extended based on Norwegian's operational requirements and demand for First Officers.
Pilot Requirements
Norwegian maintains rigorous standards for its flight crew to ensure the highest levels of safety and operational excellence. Prospective First Officers must meet the following criteria:
For Type Rated First Officers (Boeing 737)
- Possession of an EASA ATPL or CPL License with ATPL theory credit.
- Valid EASA Medical Class 1 certificate.
- Minimum of 500 hours on Boeing 737 aircraft (Type Rating must be, or have been, endorsed on an EASA license).
- Current Multi-engine IR (Instrument Rating), preferably expired no more than 12 months ago.
- English Language Proficiency (ELP) level 5 or higher.
- Clear criminal record and the ability to successfully pass a 5-year security background check.
- Possession of the legal right to live and work unrestricted within the EU/EEC region.
- Valid and unrestricted passport.
For Non-Type Rated First Officers
- Possession of an EASA ATPL or CPL License with ATPL theory credit.
- Valid EASA Medical Class 1 certificate.
- Completion of Advanced UPRT (Upset Prevention and Recovery Training) and MCC (Multi-Crew Cooperation) courses (unless holding or having held a multi-pilot Type Rating in EASA).
- Current Multi-engine IR (Instrument Rating), preferably expired no more than 12 months ago.
- Minimum of 1500 total flight hours (or 800 total hours for military pilots).
- Minimum of 500 hours on multi-crew, multi-engine aircraft.
- English Language Proficiency (ELP) level 5 or higher.
- Clear criminal record and the ability to successfully pass a 5-year security background check.
- Possession of the legal right to live and work unrestricted within the EU/EEC region.
- Valid and unrestricted passport.

State of Licence Issue (SOLI) Requirement
