Position Summary

The Captain Pilot is responsible for operating company aircraft to provide safe, comfortable, and efficient air transportation in strict accordance with company policies and government regulations. The successful candidate will act as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) or Second-in-Command (SIC), ensuring the highest standards of flight safety and airworthiness.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe flight operations, aircraft airworthiness, and passenger comfort.
  • Review weather conditions, NOTAMs, and calculate aircraft performance, weight, and balance.
  • File flight plans and maintain compliance with FAA regulations, ICAO standards, and Manufacturer/Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Coordinate passenger requirements, including security, ground transportation, catering, and baggage handling.
  • Actively participate in the Flight Department’s Safety Management System (SMS), including hazard identification and reporting.
  • Maintain all required certifications and training for company aircraft.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree.

Experience

  • Minimum: 1,500 hours total time; 500 hours multi-engine turbine.
  • Preferred: 6-10 years of corporate flying experience; 5,000 hours total time; 2,500 hours multi-engine jet; recent international experience.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Required: ATP-CTP completed, valid US Passport, FAA First Class Medical.
  • Preferred: ATP certificate; CL-604 (604/605/650) or EMB-550 Type Rating.

Technical Skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems, avionics, Air Traffic Control (ATC) procedures, FARs, and navigational systems.
  • Proficiency with EFB usage, Arinc, and ForeFlight.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.

Skills and Abilities

  • Competent decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a professional flight environment.
