First Officer – Boeing 787
Norse Atlantic Airways is seeking highly skilled and motivated First Officers to join our flight operations team. Responsibilities and Duties
Flight Operations

Assist the Captain in the safe and efficient operation of the Boeing 787 during all phases of flight, including pre-flight planning, taxi, take-off, cruise, and landing.

Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections, covering aircraft systems, performance calculations, and weather conditions.

Verify weight and balance, performance data, and NOTAMs prior to departure.

Operate aircraft systems in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturer guidelines.

Monitor navigation, communication, and aircraft performance systems during flight.
Safety and Compliance

Adhere to all company policies, international aviation standards, and regulatory requirements.

Maintain compliance with safety management systems (SMS) and report safety concerns promptly.

Participate in proficiency checks, emergency procedure drills, and regular simulator training.
Crew Resource Management (CRM)

Collaborate within a cohesive flight crew, fostering effective communication and decision-making.

Communicate with ATC, cabin crew, and ground staff to ensure smooth operational flow.

Support the Captain in maintaining a professional cockpit environment and assist with cabin crew briefings.
Customer Service and Administration

Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring a positive passenger experience through timely operations.

Complete accurate flight logs, reports, and necessary documentation.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of operational procedures, manuals, and regulatory changes.

Engage in post-flight debriefs to support continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications

UK CAA-issued Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) or Commercial Pilot Licence with Instrument Rating (CPL/IR).

UK CAA-issued Class 1 medical certificate.

English language proficiency at level 5 (extended) or level 6 (expert), endorsed on the licence.

Minimum of 500 hours total flight time as pilot on multi-pilot (CS-25) aircraft.

Boeing 787 type rating or willingness to complete type rating training.

Comprehensive knowledge of meteorology, navigation, and aviation regulations.

Exceptional decision-making, problem-solving, and situational awareness skills.

Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to changing operational conditions.
