Pilot in Command - G650 (Miami, FL)
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a subsidiary of NetJets, is seeking a qualified and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for a G650 aircraft based in Miami, FL (KOPF). As a pioneer in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, EJM offers unrivaled resources and operational stability within the world's largest private aviation infrastructure. The organization's business is rooted in core principles of safety, service, and integrity, values that are consistently delivered to both customers and employees. This is a 10-pilot account, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and/or Cabin Attendant, operating under Part 91 regulations.
The Pilot in Command holds the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. The PIC adheres to all company and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience to passengers.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the Safe Operation of Flight:
- Ensuring crewing and trip assignments comply with all company and regulatory requirements.
- Completing thorough flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assigned flight.
- Utilizing Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to effectively lead required briefings and mitigate any potential operational risks.
- Strictly adhering to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with company personnel as required. Acting as the designated Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Completing all pre-flight aircraft tasks, including verifying the maintenance status, to ensure the aircraft is fully mission-capable. Accurately recording all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Ensuring all aircraft ground servicing requirements (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are meticulously monitored and accomplished according to SOPs.
- Conducting comprehensive passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulations. Delivering the highest level of customer service and addressing any special needs of passengers (e.g., physically challenged).
- Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to communicate effectively and in a timely manner with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Providing outstanding service to aircraft owners and passengers while proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience. Regularly investigating and resolving any service deviations.
- Collaborating effectively with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to deliver a consistent and exceptional service experience to owners and passengers. Resolving conflicts and challenges professionally and effectively.
- Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintaining all regulatory and company-required training and ensuring recency of experience.
- Adhering to the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and promptly reporting any safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 4-6 years of experience in aviation.
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is preferred.
- FAA Type rating in applicable fleet is required.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
