Pilot in Command - G650 - Miami, FL
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a subsidiary of NetJets, seeks a qualified and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for a G650 aircraft based in Miami, FL (KOPF). EJM has been a leader in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, offering unrivaled resources and operational stability within the world's largest private aviation infrastructure. The selected candidate, currently typed in GVI, will transition to GVIII-G700 type ratings. This position is part of a 10-pilot account supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant, operating under Part 91 regulations.
The Pilot in Command holds the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated safely, compliantly, and efficiently. The PIC adheres to all company policies and regulatory requirements while providing an exceptional service experience.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ensures the safe operation of all flights.
- Verifies crewing and trip assignments comply with all company and regulatory standards.
- Completes flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks as required for each assignment.
- Leads briefings utilizing Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks.
- Adheres to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel as necessary, acting as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Completes all pre-flight aircraft checks, including the verification of the aircraft's maintenance status, to confirm mission capability and records any discrepancies according to SOPs.
- Monitors and ensures all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are completed according to SOPs.
- Conducts passenger briefings as per company policy and regulations, providing exceptional customer service and accommodating any special needs of passengers.
- Employs Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to ensure clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Delivers quality service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience and resolves service deviations.
- Collaborates with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to provide a consistent service experience, resolving conflicts and challenges in a professional manner.
- Maintains all regulatory and company-required training and currency requirements.
- Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) and reports safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.
Qualifications:
- Four to six years of relevant experience.
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation preferred.
- FAA Type rating in applicable fleet.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
