Pilot in Command - Gulfstream GIV-SP
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks an experienced and dedicated Pilot in Command for a Gulfstream GIV-SP aircraft. This position, based at Centennial Airport in Colorado (KAPA), offers an exciting opportunity to join a leading name in private aviation. The selected candidate will play a critical role in upholding EJM's unwavering commitment to safety, compliance, and exceptional service.
About the Role:
The Pilot in Command has ultimate responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, ensuring compliance with all company and regulatory requirements. This individual will lead a flight department of three pilots and a dedicated maintenance technician, overseeing approximately 400 flight hours annually under EJM's P135 certificate.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring Safe Flight Operations:
- Verify compliance with company and regulatory requirements for crewing and trip assignments.
- Meticulously execute flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks.
- Utilize Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead briefings and proactively mitigate operational risks.
- Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), coordinate with relevant personnel, and act as Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections, confirm aircraft maintenance status, and meticulously document any discrepancies.
- Oversee all aspects of aircraft ground servicing, including fueling, oil, and oxygen.
- Deliver comprehensive passenger briefings, prioritizing the highest level of customer service and accommodating any special passenger needs.
- Employ Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to ensure clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provide superior service to aircraft owners and passengers, actively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM experience and promptly addressing any service deviations.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow crew members and internal partners to deliver a consistent and positive service experience.
- Demonstrate professionalism in conflict resolution and navigate challenges with diplomacy and tact.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintain all regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Uphold the highest standards of compliance with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) and promptly report any safety or non-compliance concerns.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is highly desirable.
- FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet is required.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the position is essential.
Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Compensation and Benefits:
