Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks a qualified Pilot in Command for a Gulfstream GIV-SP aircraft based at Centennial Airport in Colorado (KAPA). This position, operating under EJM's P135 certificate, requires approximately 400 flight hours per year. The flight department consists of three pilots and a dedicated maintenance technician. This is not a commutable position; candidates must reside or be willing to relocate within a two-hour driving distance of Centennial Airport in Englewood, CO.

The Pilot in Command holds ultimate responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. They adhere to all company and regulatory requirements while providing exceptional service. The position offers a unique schedule with a focus on predictability, including seven pre-designated hard days off each month out of an average of ten days off. Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the safe operation of all flights, including crew and trip assignments compliant with all regulations.
  • Conducts flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks.
  • Utilizes Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology.
  • Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and acts as the Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
  • Completes all pre-flight tasks, including checking aircraft maintenance status and recording discrepancies.
  • Monitors and ensures proper aircraft ground servicing.
  • Conducts passenger briefings, providing exceptional customer service and addressing specific needs.
  • Employs Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to maintain clear communication with crew and support staff during all operations.
  • Provides exceptional service to owners and passengers, and seeks to enhance their experience.
  • Collaborates with crew and EJM partners to provide consistent service.
  • Maintains regulatory and company-required training and currency.
  • Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) and reports all safety or non-compliance concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is preferred.
  • FAA Type rating for the applicable aircraft.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
    • Total flight time: 3500 hours
    • Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
    • Pilot in Command (PIC): 2000 hours
    • PIC MEL: 500 hours
    • Instrument: 300 hours
    • Jet: 500 hours

Salary Range:

The base salary range is $110,000 - $432,000.
