Elevate Every Journey as a Flight Attendant
Purpose of Position
The Flight Attendant serves as a brand ambassador, ensuring a superior air transportation experience with an unwavering commitment to safety on every flight. As the face of NetJets Large Cabin, this individual provides not only safe passage but also an exceptional in-flight service experience for every NetJets Owner and passenger. Adaptability is key, as the Flight Attendant seamlessly transitions between roles, encompassing aspects of in-flight chef, service professional, and safety expert, consistently maintaining the highest level of professionalism.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Safety and Service Excellence: Primarily responsible for the safety and well-being of all Owners and passengers within the aircraft cabin, adhering strictly to the Flight Attendant Manual (FAM), Service Procedures Checklist, and Standard Operating Procedures. This includes conducting pre-flight checks, warmly greeting and briefing Owners/passengers on aircraft features, providing comprehensive safety briefings, and serving as an expert on all onboard safety, entertainment, and comfort features.
- Culinary Expertise and In-flight Service: Demonstrates proficiency in providing exceptional in-flight service, including the responsible handling of alcoholic beverages, catering service, meticulous preparation of sleeping arrangements, and attentive adherence to detailed Owner notes and profiles. Obtains catering from external vendors as required, ensuring a seamless and personalized dining experience.
- Operational Efficiency and Compliance: Ensures efficient and orderly cabin management, including proper stowage of baggage and adept handling of flights involving pets and smoking preferences. Acts as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets throughout their journey, from arrival at the FBO to departure at their final destination.
- Communication and Problem Solving: Effectively communicates any cabin maintenance discrepancies to the Pilot in Command, ensuring timely resolution. Maintains accurate records and documentation, including inventory management, passdowns, and required crew reports.
- Teamwork and Adaptability: Works seamlessly within a crew environment, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory guidelines. Demonstrates exceptional flexibility and the ability to adapt to rapid changes inherent to the aviation industry.
Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a focus on hospitality, customer service, business, or culinary arts.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in a customer service-oriented field, such as hospitality, culinary arts, service industry, or aviation.
- Certifications and Licenses: Must obtain and maintain Flight Attendant Certification and meet FAA requirements. Successful completion of the NetJets Part 135 Flight Attendant Training Program is mandatory. Must possess a valid passport and State driver's license, and be eligible to work internationally.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Impeccable verbal and written communication skills, particularly in demanding situations.
- Proficient in personal computing, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to make sound, timely decisions while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong service orientation with a polished and professional appearance.
- Physical capability to lift and move objects up to 60 pounds occasionally, 30 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.
- Ability to handle and care for animals during flights.
- Must meet specific aircraft dimension requirements.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with potential for extended travel (up to 7+ days) and exposure to different time zones and weather conditions.
