Purpose of the Pilot Position:
The Pilot is responsible for providing a superior air transportation experience while maintaining a continued safety record on every flight. As the face of NetJets, the Pilot delivers technically accurate and safe transportation alongside an exceptional service experience for every Owner and passenger.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the safe operation of the aircraft from taxi through landing, adhering to FAA guidelines, OEM Checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM) or Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
- Greeting Owners/passengers pre-flight, making introductions, briefing on flight specifics, verifying itinerary, providing weather updates and safety briefings, and explaining any itinerary changes.
- Providing in-flight service, including handling alcohol and catering.
- Loading and properly stowing all baggage on the aircraft.
- Handling and conducting flights for Owners traveling with pets and those who smoke.
- Acting as the final authority on their aircraft regarding all operational areas, including compliance with applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
- Serving as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from arrival at the FBO until safe landing and departure from the final FBO.
- Properly communicating any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the NetJets Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller.
- Completing all required paperwork associated with maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.

- Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate required.
- Valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate is required.
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit is required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements (KSAOs):
- Possession of an FAA ATP, Restricted ATP (R-ATP), or meeting the requirements for an FAA ATP or R-ATP certificate with multi-engine rating per 61.160:
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Flight Time Experience: 1,500 total flight hours, OR 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate, OR 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification, OR 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
- 200 hours cross-country (>50 nm) flight time.
- 250 hours fixed-wing PIC.
- 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings.
- 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excluding simulator time).
- ATP written exam must be completed prior to starting Indoctrination Training.
- 50 hours fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
- Current FAA First-Class Medical certificate.
- Valid passport with the ability to travel internationally without restrictions.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restriction.
- Ability to work varying hours, including day and night, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be extremely flexible and adaptable to rapid changes.
- Ability to manage rest effectively to be prepared for flight duty at all times during their tour.
- Duty periods may last up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight days, potentially spanning different time zones and extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to be away from home for seven or more days and nights while on duty, requiring hotel stays.
- Ability to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges.
- Ability to pass Transportation Security Administration required background screening and secure necessary badges.
- Possession of a valid State driver’s license.
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language.
- Must be service-oriented with a neat, well-groomed appearance and a demonstrated ability to make a positive impression and effectively interact with passengers.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, especially under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to make quick and accurate decisions while paying close attention to detail, both technically and from a passenger-service perspective.
- Physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Ability to work around animals, including handling and care prior to, during, and after Owner flights.
- Ability to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
Base Salary Range:
$86,015 – $117,706
