Purpose of Position:

The Pilot is responsible for providing a superior air transportation experience, consistently maintaining an exemplary safety record on every flight. Serving as the face of NetJets, the Pilot delivers technically accurate and safe transportation while ensuring an exceptional service experience for each Owner and passenger.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities of the NetJets Pilot include:

  • Ensuring the safe operation of the aircraft from taxi, take-off, and landing in strict adherence to FAA guidelines, Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM) Checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM) or Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
  • Greeting Owners/passengers pre-flight, facilitating introductions, briefing them on the specific flight/trip, verifying the itinerary, providing weather updates and safety briefings, and explaining any itinerary changes.
  • Delivering in-flight service as needed, including the handling of alcohol and serving catering.
  • Loading and properly stowing all baggage on the aircraft as required.
  • Handling and conducting flights for Owners traveling with pets and those who smoke.
  • Acting as the final authority on their assigned aircraft concerning all operational areas, including compliance with applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
  • Serving as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from their arrival at the FBO until safe landing at their final destination and departure from the final FBO.
  • Properly communicating any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to NetJets via the assigned fleet's Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller.
  • Completing all necessary paperwork associated with maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.
  • Performing other duties as assigned based on specific assignments.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications & Licenses:
    • Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification.
    • Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
    • FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.
  • Years of Experience: Not Specified.
  • Core Competencies: Adaptability, Collaboration, Strives for Positive Results, Service-Oriented, Curiosity.
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements (KSAOs):
    • Possession of FAA ATP, Restricted ATP, or the ability to meet the requirements for FAA ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with multi-engine rating in accordance with FAA 61.160.
      • Minimum age of 21 years.
      • 1,500 hours total flight time experience OR
      • 1,250 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate OR
      • 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification OR
      • 1,000 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
    • 200 hours cross-country (>50 nm) flight time.
    • 250 hours fixed-wing Pilot in Command (PIC) time.
    • 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings.
    • 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excluding simulator time).
    • ATP written exam completed prior to the start of Indoctrination Training.
    • 50 hours fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
    • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally without restrictions.
    • Authorization to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restriction.
    • Ability to work varying hours, including day and night, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
    • Demonstrated ability to be extremely flexible and adapt to rapid changes.
    • Ability to manage personal rest effectively to be prepared for flight duty at all times during a tour.
    • Capacity for duty periods potentially lasting up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight consecutive days, spanning different time zones and extreme weather conditions during a single trip.
    • Willingness to be away from home for seven or more days and nights while on duty, staying in hotels.
    • Ability to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges.
    • Ability to pass Transportation Security Administration required background screening.
    • Valid State driver’s license.
    • Proficiency in reading, writing, fluently speaking, and understanding the English language.
    • Service-oriented mindset with a neat, well-groomed appearance and a demonstrated ability to make a positive impression through effective interaction with passengers.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly under pressure.
    • Demonstrated ability to make quick and accurate decisions while paying close attention to detail, both technically and from a passenger-service perspective.
    • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
    • Ability to work around animals, including handling and care before, during, and after Owner flights.
    • Ability to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.

Base Salary Range:

$86,015 – $117,706
