Role Summary
The Pilot is essential to providing a superior air transportation experience while maintaining a flawless safety record on every flight. As the face of NetJets, this role demands not only technical accuracy and safe operations but also the delivery of an exceptional service experience for every NetJets Owner and passenger.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe operation of the aircraft from taxi through landing for each flight, adhering strictly to FAA guidelines, Original Equipment Manufacturer’s (OEM) Checklists, the NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM) or Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
- Greet Owners/passengers pre-flight, facilitate introductions, and brief them thoroughly on the specific flight details and trip itinerary. Provide passengers with current weather updates and essential safety briefings, explaining any changes to the planned itinerary.
- Deliver in-flight service as needed, including the handling of alcohol and the service of catering.
- Load and properly stow all baggage on the aircraft as required.
- Be prepared to handle and conduct flights for Owners traveling with pets or those who smoke.
- Act as the final authority on the aircraft regarding all operational areas, including compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
- Serve as a key liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets, managing interactions from the time Owners/passengers arrive at the FBO until they have safely landed at their final destination and departed the final FBO.
- Communicate any aircraft maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies promptly and properly to the NetJets Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller on duty for the respective fleet.
- Complete all associated paperwork accurately for maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.
- Perform other duties as assigned, depending on the specific assignment and operational needs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess a Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification.
- Hold a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Possess or meet the requirements for an FAA ATP, Restricted ATP, or meet the requirements for FAA ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with multi-engine rating in accordance with FAA regulations (IAW 61.160).
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Meet minimum flight hour requirements as follows:
- 1,500 hours total flight time experience; or
- 1,250 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate; or
- 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification; or
- 1,000 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
- 200 hours cross-country (>50 nm) flight time.
- 250 hours fixed-wing Pilot in Command (PIC).
- 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings.
- 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excluding simulator time).
- ATP written examination must be completed prior to the start of Indoctrination Training.
- 50 hours fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
- Possess a current FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.
- Must have a valid passport and be authorized to travel internationally without restrictions.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restriction.
- Ability to work varying hours including day and night, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be extremely flexible and demonstrate the ability to adjust to rapid changes in schedule and conditions.
- Ability to manage rest effectively to be prepared for flight duty at all times during a tour.
- Understand that duty periods may last as long as fourteen hours per day for up to eight consecutive days, potentially spanning different time zones and extreme weather conditions within a single trip.
- Be prepared to be away from home for seven or more consecutive days and nights while on duty, requiring hotel stays.
- Ability to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges.
- Ability to pass Transportation Security Administration required background screening.
- Possess a valid State driver’s license.
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language.
- Demonstrate service-orientation with a neat, well-groomed appearance and the ability to make a positive impression, including effectively interacting with passengers.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly under pressure.
- Demonstrate the ability to make quick and accurate decisions while maintaining close attention to detail, both technically and from a passenger-service perspective.
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Ability to work around animals, including their handling and care prior to, during, and after Owner flights.
- Ability to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.

- CC72 – 72 duty days over 4 months (base-duty days: 18/month)
- CC76 – 76 duty days over 4 months (base-duty days: 19/month)
(Note: Plus- and minus-day rule applies.)

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $86,015 – $117,706.
