About the Role
Beyond the fundamental responsibility of ensuring safe flights, NetJets Pilots serve as proud ambassadors, delivering exceptional service to every NetJets Owner and passenger. Pilots command the largest and most diverse private jet fleet, facilitating travel for influential individuals to desirable destinations worldwide. NetJets' policies and procedures prioritize safety and are designed to provide pilots with the flexibility, support, and resources necessary to advance their careers and enhance their personal lives.
Key Responsibilities
The Pilot is primarily responsible for providing a superior, safe air transportation experience on every flight. Acting as the face of NetJets, the Pilot delivers not only technically accurate and safe transportation but also an exceptional service experience. Responsibilities include:
- Safely operating the aircraft from taxi through landing, adhering to FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
- Greeting Owners/passengers pre-flight, providing introductions, briefing them on the flight/trip details, verifying itineraries, providing weather updates and safety briefings, and explaining any itinerary changes.
- Delivering in-flight service, including the handling of alcohol and catering.
- Loading and properly stowing all baggage on the aircraft as needed.
- Handling and conducting flights for Owners traveling with pets and those who smoke.
- Acting as the final authority on the aircraft concerning all operational areas, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
- Serving as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from arrival at the FBO until safe landing at the final destination and departure from the final FBO.
- Communicating any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to NetJets via the appropriate Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller.
- Completing necessary paperwork associated with maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.
- Performing other duties as assigned based on the specific assignment.

Qualifications
Candidates for the Pilot position should possess the following qualifications:
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Certifications and Licenses
- Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.
- Valid State driver’s license.
Flight Experience & Requirements
- Meet the requirements for FAA ATP, Restricted ATP, or meet the requirements for FAA ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with multi-engine rating per 14 CFR 61.160. This typically includes:
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Total flight time experience of 1,500 hours (or 1,250 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate, or 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification or appropriate university R-ATP certificate).
- 200 hours cross-country (>50 nm) flight time.
- 250 hours fixed-wing Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.
- 100 hours of night flying (or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings).
- 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excluding simulator time).
- Completion of the ATP written exam prior to the start of Indoctrination Training.
- 50 hours fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
Other Requirements
- Ability to work varying hours, including day and night, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adjust to rapid changes.
- Ability to manage rest effectively to be prepared for flight duty at all times during their tour.
- Ability to be away from home for seven or more days/nights, staying in hotels, with duty periods potentially lasting up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight days, spanning different time zones and extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges.
- Ability to pass Transportation Security Administration required background screening.
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language.
- Service-oriented with a neat, well-groomed appearance and the ability to make a positive impression, effectively interacting with passengers.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially under pressure.
- Ability to make quick and accurate decisions while paying close attention to technical and passenger-service details.
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 30 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
- Ability to work around animals and conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally without restrictions.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restriction.

Base Salary Range
$86,015 – $117,706
