The Role

Key Responsibilities
- Ensures the safe operation of the aircraft during all phases of flight, from taxi through landing, adhering strictly to FAA guidelines, Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM) Checklists, the NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM) or Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
- Greets Owners and passengers prior to flight, provides introductions, briefs them on the specific flight details and trip itinerary, verifies details, delivers weather updates and safety briefings, and explains any changes to the planned itinerary.
- Delivers in-flight service as needed, including the handling of alcoholic beverages and the service of catering.
- Loads and properly stows all baggage on the aircraft as required.
- Manages and conducts flights for Owners traveling with pets and those who smoke.
- Acts as the final authority regarding all aspects of aircraft operation, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety standards and regulatory guidance.
- Serves as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets, from the time Owners/passengers arrive at the FBO until they have safely landed at their final destination and departed the FBO.
- Communicates any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies properly to NetJets through the aircraft Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller on duty for their assigned fleet.
- Completes all necessary paperwork associated with maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies accurately and promptly.
- Performs other duties as assigned based on specific assignment requirements.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Certifications and Licenses
Possession of a written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification is necessary.
Must hold a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)
- Holds or meets the requirements for an FAA ATP, Restricted ATP, or meets the requirements for FAA ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with a multi-engine rating in accordance with 14 CFR 61.160.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have accumulated at least:
- 1,500 hours total flight time experience, or
- 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate, or
- 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification, or
- 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
- Requires 200 hours of cross-country (>50 nm) flight time.
- Requires 250 hours of fixed-wing Pilot in Command (PIC) time.
- Requires 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with 45 or more night takeoffs and landings.
- Requires 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excluding simulator time).
- The ATP written exam must be completed prior to the start of Indoctrination Training.
- Requires 50 hours of fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
- Must possess a valid FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.
- Must have a valid passport and be able to travel internationally without restrictions.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restriction.
- Must be available to work varying hours, including day and night shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Requires extreme flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly to rapid changes.
- Must be able to manage rest effectively to be prepared for flight duty at all times during their tour.
- Duty periods may extend up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight consecutive days and may involve operating across different time zones and extreme weather conditions within a single trip.
- While on duty, may be required to be away from home for seven or more days and nights, with accommodations provided in hotels.
- Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges.
- Must successfully pass Transportation Security Administration required background screening.
- Must possess a valid State driver's license.
- Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language.
- Must be service-oriented, maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance, and demonstrate the ability to make a positive impression and interact effectively with passengers.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly when operating under pressure.
- Must demonstrate the ability to make quick and accurate decisions while maintaining close attention to detail, both technically and from a passenger-service perspective.
- Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Must be able to work around animals and handle/care for pets prior to, during, and after Owner flights.
- Must be able to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary Range
$86,015 – $117,706 annually.
