Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the safe operation of the aircraft from taxi through landing, adhering strictly to FAA guidelines, Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM) Checklists, the NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
  • Greets Owners and passengers pre-flight, provides introductions, briefs them on the specific flight/trip, verifies the itinerary, furnishes weather updates, delivers safety briefings, and explains any itinerary changes.
  • Provides necessary in-flight service, including handling alcohol and serving catering.
  • Loads and properly stows all baggage on the aircraft as needed.
  • Handles and conducts flights for Owners traveling with pets and those who smoke.
  • Acts as the final authority on their aircraft concerning all areas of operation, including compliance with applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
  • Serves as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from the time of arrival at the FBO until safe landing at the final destination and departure from the final FBO.
  • Communicates any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to NetJets via the designated Aircraft Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller.
  • Accurately completes all required paperwork associated with maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, depending on the specific assignment.

Qualifications:

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Certifications & Licenses:

  • Possess a Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
  • Hold a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Hold an FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.
  • Must possess a valid State driver’s license.

Experience & Requirements (KSAOs):

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must meet the requirements for an FAA ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with a multi-engine rating in accordance with 14 CFR 61.160. This typically requires:
    • 1,500 hours total flight time experience, OR
    • 1,250 hours total flight time with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate, OR
    • 1,000 hours total flight time with military pilot qualification, OR
    • 1,000 hours total flight time with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
  • Minimum 200 hours cross-country flight time (>50 nm).
  • Minimum 250 hours fixed-wing Pilot in Command (PIC) time.
  • Minimum 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with at least 45 night takeoffs and landings.
  • Minimum 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excluding simulator time).
  • Minimum 50 hours fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
  • Must have completed the FAA ATP written exam prior to the start of Indoctrination Training.
  • Must have a valid passport and be able to travel internationally without restrictions.
  • Must possess authorization to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restriction.
  • Must be able to work varying hours, including days, nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be extremely flexible and capable of adjusting to rapid changes in schedule and itinerary.
  • Must be able to manage rest effectively to be prepared for flight duty at all times during their tour.
  • Duty periods may extend up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight consecutive days, spanning different time zones and extreme weather conditions within a single trip.
  • While on duty, may be away from home for seven or more days and nights, requiring hotel stays.
  • Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges.
  • Must be able to pass Transportation Security Administration (TSA) required background screening.
  • Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must be service-oriented with a neat, well-groomed appearance and a demonstrated ability to make a positive impression, including strong capability to effectively interact with passengers.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly under pressure.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to make quick and accurate decisions while maintaining close attention to detail, both technically and from a passenger-service perspective.
  • Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Must be comfortable working around animals, including handling and caring for pets prior to, during, and after Owner flights.
  • Must be willing and able to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.

Base Salary Range:

$86,015 – $117,706
