About the Role
A NetJets Pilot is responsible for delivering a superior air transportation experience, upholding a continued safety record on every flight. More than just ensuring safe and technically accurate transportation, the Pilot serves as a proud NetJets ambassador and the face of the company, providing an exceptional service experience for every NetJets Owner and passenger. Pilots command the largest and most diverse private jet fleet, flying the world’s most influential individuals to desirable destinations across the globe. Responsibilities
The Pilot is entrusted with key responsibilities that ensure the safety, efficiency, and exceptional service synonymous with NetJets:
- Operates the aircraft safely through all phases of flight (taxi, take-off, landing) in strict adherence to FAA guidelines, Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM) Checklists, the NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM) or Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs). Greets Owners and passengers pre-flight, providing introductions and briefings on flight details, verifying itinerary, offering weather updates, conducting safety briefings, and explaining any itinerary changes.
- Delivers in-flight service as required, including handling alcohol and catering.
- Loads and properly stows all baggage on the aircraft.
- Conducts flights for Owners traveling with pets and those who smoke.
- Acts as the final authority on their assigned aircraft regarding all operational areas, ensuring compliance with applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
- Serves as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from the moment of arrival at the FBO until safe landing and departure from the final FBO.
- Communicates any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the NetJets Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller for their specific fleet.
- Completes all associated paperwork related to maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.
- Performs other duties as assigned depending on the specific role and assignment.

Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for a Pilot position with NetJets, candidates must meet specific educational, certification, and experience criteria:
Education
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Certifications & Licenses
Possession of a Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate is required prior to the start of Indoctrination Training.
Must hold a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
Must possess an FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.
Experience & Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAOs)
- Must possess an FAA ATP, Restricted ATP, or meet the requirements for FAA ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with a multi-engine rating in accordance with 14 CFR § 61.160. This includes meeting specific flight hour minimums:
- 1,500 hours total flight time experience or
- 1,250 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate or
- 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification or
- 1,000 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate
- A minimum of 200 hours of cross-country flight time (>50 nm) is required.
- A minimum of 250 hours of fixed-wing Pilot in Command (PIC) time is required.
- A minimum of 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings, is required.
- A minimum of 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excluding simulator time) is required.
- A minimum of 50 hours of fixed-wing, multi-engine time is required.
- Must possess a valid passport allowing unrestricted international travel.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restriction.
- Ability to work varying hours including day and night, weekdays, weekends, and holidays is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to be extremely flexible and adjust to rapid changes.
- Must be proficient in managing rest to ensure preparedness for flight duty at all times during a tour. Duty periods may last up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight days and can span different time zones and extreme weather conditions. Pilots may be away from home for seven or more days/nights, staying in hotels.
- Ability to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges is required.
- Must successfully pass Transportation Security Administration required background screening.
- Must possess a valid State driver’s license.
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language is mandatory.
- Must be service-oriented with a neat, well-groomed appearance, demonstrating a positive impression and the strong capability to effectively interact with passengers.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially under pressure, are necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to make quick and accurate decisions while paying close attention to technical details and passenger-service requirements.
- Physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Ability to work around animals, including handling and care prior to, during, and after Owner flights.
- Ability to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.

Base Salary Range
$86,015 – $117,706 per year.
