Role Overview
The Pilot is integral to providing a superior air transportation experience while maintaining an exemplary safety record on every flight. Acting as a proud NetJets ambassador, the Pilot delivers not only technically accurate and safe transportation but also ensures an exceptional service experience for every NetJets Owner and passenger.

Beyond ensuring safe flights, NetJets pilots serve as proud ambassadors, providing exceptional service to every Owner and passenger. They command the world's largest and most diverse private jet fleet, flying influential individuals to desirable destinations across the globe. NetJets prioritizes safety through stringent policies and procedures, providing pilots with the flexibility, support, and resources necessary to elevate their careers and enhance their lives at home.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
The Pilot is responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft, adhering to FAA guidelines, OEM Checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM) or Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs). This includes taxi, take-off, and landing procedures.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Greeting Owners/passengers pre-flight, making introductions, briefing them on the specific flight/trip, verifying the itinerary, providing weather updates and safety briefings, and explaining any itinerary changes.
- Delivering in-flight service, including handling alcohol and serving catering as needed.
- Loading and properly stowing all baggage on the aircraft as needed.
- Handling and conducting flights for Owners traveling with pets and those who smoke.
- Acting as the final authority on their aircraft regarding all operational areas, including compliance with applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
- Serving as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from arrival at the FBO until safe landing at the final destination and departure from the final FBO.
- Communicating any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to NetJets via the Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller.
- Completing all associated paperwork for maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.
- Performing other duties as assigned depending on the specific assignment.

Certifications and Licenses
- Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification.
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Hold an FAA ATP, Restricted ATP (R-ATP), or meet the requirements for an FAA ATP or R-ATP certificate with a multi-engine rating (IAW 61.160), including:
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- 1,500 hours total flight time experience, OR
- 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate, OR
- 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification, OR
- 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
- 200 hours cross-country (>50 nm) flight time.
- 250 hours fixed-wing PIC time.
- 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings.
- 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excludes simulator time).
- ATP written exam completed prior to the start of Indoctrination Training.
- 50 hours fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
- Must possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally without restrictions.
- Must have authorization to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restriction.
- Must be available to work varying hours, including day and night shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Must demonstrate extreme flexibility and the ability to adjust to rapid changes in schedule and environment.
- Must be able to manage rest effectively to be prepared for flight duty at all times during their tour.
- Duty periods may extend up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight days, potentially spanning different time zones and extreme weather conditions within a single trip.
- May be away from home for seven or more days and nights while on duty, staying in hotels.
- Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges.
- Must be able to pass Transportation Security Administration required background screening.
- Must possess a valid State driver’s license.
- Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language.
- Must be service-oriented with a neat, well-groomed appearance and a demonstrated ability to make a positive impression, including a strong capability to effectively interact with passengers.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly under pressure.
- Must demonstrate the ability to make quick and accurate decisions while paying close attention to detail, both technically and from a passenger-service perspective.
- Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Must be able to work around animals, including handling and care prior to, during, and after Owner flights.
- Must be able to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
Base Salary Range
$86,015 – $117,706
