First Officer
The First Officer assists the Pilot in Command in the safe and efficient operation of the flight. The First Officer assumes command should the Commander become incapacitated. This role prioritizes safe operations and customer satisfaction by providing the best possible customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Executes all duties allocated by the Commander to ensure the safety of all flights and passengers, in accordance with the aircraft Flight Manual, company Standard Operating Procedures, and applicable legislation.
- Aids the Commander in the safe and efficient operation of the flight.
- Confirms the safe navigation of the aircraft, maintaining a continuous and independent check of the aircraft's geographical position and its safe terrain clearance.
- Executes all operational procedures and checklists, in accordance with the Airplane Flight Manual, Operations Manuals, and as directed by the flight's Commander.
- Reports any occurrence or incident that has endangered or may have endangered safety to the Commander.
- Reports any fault, failure, malfunction, or defect that may affect the airworthiness or safe operation of the aeroplane to the Commander.
- Provides the best customer service possible at all times, contributing to customer satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1500 hours and a maximum of 2000 hours of total flight time is required.
- Type-rating on GL6000 is preferred.
- Residence within a 2-hour drive from Oxford Airport is preferred.
- Prior experience as a captain is an advantage.
- EASA Airline Transport Pilot Licence with appropriate type ratings is required.
- European Union class 1 medical certification is required.
- Clear demonstration of excellent performance is required.
- Extensive European flight experience is required.
- A strong commercial aviation background (EUOPS and/or AIROPS environment is an advantage) is preferred.
- Military or airline training is an advantage.
- Fluency in English (preferably level 6) is required, and knowledge of two or more European languages is an advantage.
