Purpose of Position

The NetJets Pilot is responsible for ensuring a safe and superior air travel experience. They serve as the face of NetJets, providing technically sound and safe transportation, coupled with an exceptional service experience for each NetJets Owner and passenger.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Operate aircraft safely according to FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM) or Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
  • Greet and brief Owners/passengers pre-flight, verifying itineraries, providing weather updates, and ensuring safety.
  • Provide in-flight service, including the handling of alcohol and catering.
  • Load and properly stow baggage.
  • Manage flights for Owners with pets and those who smoke.
  • Serve as the final authority on aircraft operations, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidance.
  • Act as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets, from FBO arrival to final destination.
  • Communicate maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to NetJets via the aircraft Maintenance Control Center (MCC).
  • Complete paperwork associated with maintenance abnormalities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Certifications and Licenses

  • Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
  • First Class Medical Certificate.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs)

  • FAA ATP, Restricted ATP, or meet requirements for FAA ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with multi-engine rating.
  • Minimum of 21 years of age.
  • 1,500 hours total flight time, or reduced hours with appropriate R-ATP certificate or military qualifications.
  • 200 hours cross-country flight time.
  • 250 hours fixed-wing pilot-in-command (PIC) time.
  • 100 hours night flying, or 75 with specified night takeoffs and landings.
  • 75 hours of instrument time.
  • ATP written completed before start of Indoctrination Training.
  • 50 hours fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
  • Current FAA First-Class Medical certificate.
  • FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.
  • Valid passport with international travel capabilities.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions.
  • Ability to work variable hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Exceptional flexibility and ability to manage rapid changes.
  • Ability to manage rest to be prepared for flight duty.
  • Ability to be away from home for seven or more days, staying in hotels.
  • Ability to secure airport authority and/or US Customs security badges.
  • Ability to pass TSA required background screening.
  • Valid State driver’s license.
  • Fluent English communication skills (written and oral).
  • Service-oriented demeanor with professional appearance.
  • Excellent communication skills under pressure.
  • Ability to make quick and accurate decisions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, or up to 30 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to work around animals and with Owners who smoke.

Base Salary Range

$69,932 – $95,696
