Purpose of Position
The Pilot is responsible for delivering a superior air transportation experience while maintaining a flawless safety record on every flight. Serving as the face of NetJets, the Pilot not only ensures safe and accurate transportation but also provides exceptional service to each NetJets Owner and passenger.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Safely operate the aircraft from taxi, takeoff, and landing, adhering to FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM) or Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
- Greet Owners/passengers pre-flight, introduce yourself, provide flight/trip briefings, verify itinerary, deliver weather updates, and explain any changes to the itinerary.
- Provide in-flight service, including the handling of alcohol and catering.
- Load and properly stow all baggage.
- Handle flights with pets and passengers who smoke.
- Serve as the final authority on the aircraft regarding all operational aspects, ensuring compliance with applicable safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Act as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets, providing support from arrival at the FBO until departure from the final FBO.
- Communicate maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the NetJets Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller.
- Complete all necessary paperwork associated with maintenance issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions
- High School Diploma
- Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
- First-Class Medical Certificate
- Minimum 21 years of age
- 1,500 hours total flight time experience OR
- 1,250 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate OR
- 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification OR
- 1,000 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate
- 200 hours cross-country flight time (greater than 50 nm)
- 250 hours fixed-wing PIC
- 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with 45 or more night takeoffs and landings
- 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excluding simulator time)
- ATP written completed prior to the start of Indoctrination Training
- 50 hours fixed-wing, multi-engine time
- Current FAA First-Class Medical certificate
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally without restrictions
- Authorization to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restriction
- Ability to work varying hours, including day and night, weekdays, weekends, and holidays
- Exceptional flexibility and ability to adapt to rapid changes
- Ability to manage personal rest to be prepared for flight duty at all times
- Ability to work up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight days, potentially spanning different time zones and extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to be away from home for seven or more days and nights while staying in hotels.
- Ability to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges.
- Ability to pass Transportation Security Administration required background screening.
- Valid State driver's license.
- Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.
- Excellent service orientation with a neat, well-groomed appearance and ability to make a positive impression.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including effective interaction with passengers.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills, particularly under pressure.
- Ability to make quick and accurate decisions while paying close attention to detail, both technically and from a passenger-service perspective.
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 30 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
- Ability to work around animals, including handling and care before, during, and after Owner flights.
- Ability to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.

Base Salary Range
$69,932 - $95,696
