Purpose of Position
The Pilot is responsible for delivering a superior air transportation experience while maintaining an exceptional safety record on every flight. As the face of NetJets, the Pilot ensures not only technically accurate and safe transportation, but also provides exceptional service to every NetJets owner and passenger.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Safely operate the aircraft during taxi, take-off, and landing, adhering to FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, the NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM) or Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
- Greet owners/passengers pre-flight, introduce themselves, brief them on the flight/trip, verify the itinerary, provide weather updates and safety briefings, and explain any itinerary changes.
- Deliver in-flight service as needed, including the handling of alcohol and catering.
- Load and stow baggage properly.
- Handle and conduct flights for owners with pets and those who smoke.
- Act as the final authority on the aircraft regarding all areas of operation, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
- Serve as a liaison for owners/passengers and NetJets from the time they arrive at the FBO until they have safely landed at their final destination and departed the final FBO.
- Communicate any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to NetJets through the aircraft Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller on duty for their fleet.
- Complete paperwork associated with maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs)
- FAA ATP, Restricted ATP, or meet the requirements for FAA ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with multi-engine rating.
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- 1,500 hours of total flight time experience OR
- 1,250 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate OR
- 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification OR
- 1,000 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate
- 200 hours of cross-country (>50 nm) flight time.
- 250 hours of fixed-wing PIC.
- 100 hours of night flying (or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings).
- 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excludes simulator time).
- ATP written completed prior to the start of Indoctrination Training.
- 50 hours of fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
- Current FAA First-Class Medical certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.
- Valid passport with the ability to travel internationally without restrictions.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restriction.
- Ability to work varying hours, including day and night, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Extreme flexibility and ability to adapt to rapid changes.
- Ability to manage rest to be prepared for flight duty at all times during their tour.
- Ability to handle up to 14 hours of duty per day for up to 8 days, potentially spanning different time zones and extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to be away from home for seven or more days and nights while staying in hotels.
- Ability to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges.
- Ability to pass Transportation Security Administration required background screening.
- Valid State driver's license.
- Fluent in English, with the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the language.
- Service-oriented, with a neat, well-groomed appearance and the ability to make a positive impression.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially under pressure.
- Ability to make quick and accurate decisions while paying close attention to detail.
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
- Ability to work around animals, including handling and care before, during, and after flights.
- Ability to conduct flights for owners who smoke.
Base Salary Range
$69,932 - $95,696
