Purpose of Position
The Pilot holds the crucial responsibility of ensuring a superior air transportation experience while maintaining an impeccable safety record on every flight. As the face of NetJets, the Pilot not only delivers technically precise and safe flights but also cultivates an exceptional service experience for every NetJets Owner and passenger.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Ensuring the safe operation of the aircraft throughout all phases of flight, adhering meticulously to FAA guidelines, OEM Checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
- Providing a warm welcome to Owners/passengers pre-flight, conducting introductions, briefing them on flight details, verifying itineraries, providing weather updates, and delivering comprehensive safety briefings.
- Expertly managing in-flight service, including catering and, when necessary, the responsible handling and service of alcoholic beverages.
- Demonstrating proficiency in loading and securing baggage according to regulations.
- Exhibiting adaptability and professionalism in handling flights for Owners accompanied by pets or those who smoke.
- Acting as the ultimate authority on their aircraft regarding all operational aspects, ensuring unwavering compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Serving as a key liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from their arrival at the FBO until their safe arrival and departure at their final destination.
- Maintaining meticulous communication with NetJets' Maintenance Control Center (MCC) regarding any maintenance discrepancies or abnormalities observed on the aircraft.
- Completing all necessary paperwork related to maintenance concerns with accuracy and timeliness.
- Demonstrating flexibility and willingness to undertake other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of flight operations.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Certifications and Licenses
- Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate or meet the requirements for FAA ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with a multi-engine rating as outlined in 61.160.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs)
- Meet the specific flight hour requirements outlined by the FAA for ATP certification.
- Possess a valid FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.
- Maintain a valid passport and the ability to travel internationally without restrictions.
- Hold authorization to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country freely.
- Demonstrate flexibility in working varying hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Exhibit exceptional adaptability to accommodate rapid changes in schedule or itinerary.
- Practice effective rest management techniques to ensure readiness for flight duty throughout their tour.
- Be prepared for duty periods extending up to fourteen hours per day for as many as eight consecutive days, potentially spanning multiple time zones and encountering diverse weather conditions.
- Maintain professionalism and composure during extended periods away from home, which may last seven or more days and nights, requiring hotel stays.
- Be eligible to obtain and maintain the necessary airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges.
- Successfully pass the Transportation Security Administration's required background screening.
- Possess a valid State driver's license.
- Demonstrate fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.
- Maintain a professional and neat appearance, projecting a positive image and demonstrating strong interpersonal skills for effective passenger interaction.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.
- Exhibit sound judgment and decision-making abilities, paying close attention to technical details and passenger service.
- Be physically capable of exerting the necessary force to move objects as required in the role.
- Be comfortable working around animals, including handling and caring for pets before, during, and after Owner flights.
- Be adaptable and professional in conducting flights for Owners who smoke.
Base Salary Range
$69,932 - $95,696
