Purpose of Position
The Pilot is responsible for delivering a superior air transportation experience while upholding an unwavering commitment to safety on every flight. As the face of NetJets, the Pilot not only provides technically proficient and safe transportation but also cultivates an exceptional service experience for every NetJets Owner and passenger.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Ensuring the safe operation of the aircraft from taxi, takeoff, and landing in accordance with FAA guidelines, OEM Checklists, the NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
- Providing a welcoming and informative pre-flight experience for Owners/passengers, including introductions, flight briefings, itinerary verification, weather updates, safety instructions, and explanations of any itinerary changes.
- Delivering impeccable in-flight service, including the handling of alcohol and catering, as required.
- Overseeing the loading and proper stowage of all baggage on the aircraft.
- Accommodating the specific needs of Owners traveling with pets or who smoke.
- Acting as the final authority on the aircraft with respect to all operational aspects, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Serving as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from their arrival at the FBO through their safe landing and departure from the final FBO.
- Communicating any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the NetJets Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller on duty for their fleet.
- Completing all necessary paperwork related to maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.
- Performing other duties as assigned, recognizing that the dynamic nature of the role may necessitate flexibility and adaptability.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements (KSAOs)
- Meet the requirements for an FAA ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with a multi-engine rating, as outlined in 61.160 (specific hour requirements are detailed in the original HTML).
- Possess a current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate, FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit, and a valid passport for unrestricted international travel.
- Demonstrate authorization to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restrictions.
- Exhibit a flexible schedule and the ability to adapt to rapid changes, including working varying hours, weekends, holidays, and extended duty periods.
- Maintain impeccable personal presentation and a service-oriented demeanor to create a positive impression and interact effectively with passengers.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly under pressure, along with the ability to make quick and accurate decisions while attending to detail.
- Meet physical demands, including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Be comfortable working around animals and accommodating passengers who smoke.
