Purpose of the Position
The Pilot is the embodiment of NetJets' commitment to safety and service. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, the Pilot ensures a seamless and enjoyable journey for every NetJets Owner and passenger.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Safe Aircraft Operation: Ensuring the highest safety standards in all phases of flight, adhering to FAA guidelines, OEM Checklists, the NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
- Exceptional Client Service: Providing a welcoming and informative pre-flight experience for Owners and passengers, including introductions, itinerary and weather briefings, and safety demonstrations.
- In-Flight Service Delivery: As needed, provide attentive in-flight service, including catering and beverage service.
- Baggage Handling: Loading and securing baggage according to established procedures.
- Adaptability: Accommodating diverse passenger needs, including those traveling with pets or who smoke.
- Maintenance Liaison: Communicating any maintenance discrepancies to the NetJets Maintenance Control Center (MCC) and completing associated documentation.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) written exam completion.
Certifications and Licenses
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate or eligibility for an FAA ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with a multi-engine rating, meeting the requirements outlined in 61.160.
- Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Requirements
- Extensive flight experience encompassing a minimum of 1,500 hours (specific requirements vary based on certification path) including cross-country, Pilot in Command (PIC), night flying, and instrument time.
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally without restrictions.
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong decision-making abilities with attention to detail.
- Adaptability to varying schedules and demanding travel requirements.
- Ability to obtain required airport security badges.
- Valid driver's license.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver objects up to 50 pounds.
