Purpose of the Position
The Pilot holds the critical responsibility of ensuring a superior air transportation experience characterized by an unblemished safety record on every flight. Serving as the face of NetJets, the Pilot not only delivers technically proficient and secure flights but also cultivates an exceptional service experience for every NetJets Owner and passenger.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Ensuring safe aircraft operation throughout all phases of flight, adhering to FAA guidelines, OEM Checklists, the NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM) or Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
- Providing a welcoming pre-flight experience for Owners/passengers, conducting introductions, delivering flight/trip briefings, verifying itineraries, providing weather updates and safety briefings, and explaining any itinerary changes.
- Delivering impeccable in-flight service, including the handling of alcoholic beverages and catering service, as required.
- Managing baggage handling, ensuring proper stowage on the aircraft.
- Accommodating flights for Owners with pets and those who smoke.
- Acting as the final authority on the aircraft with respect to all aspects of operation, including compliance with all pertinent safety and regulatory guidance.
- Serving as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from arrival at the FBO until departure from the final destination FBO.
- Communicating any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to NetJets via the designated Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller.
- Meticulously completing all paperwork associated with maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Certifications and Licenses
- Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate required.
- First Class Medical Certificate required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs)
- Extensive flight experience as per FAA ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certification requirements, including multi-engine rating (IAW 61.160).
- Significant cross-country and Pilot in Command (PIC) flight hours, along with substantial night flying and instrument experience.
- Current FAA First-Class Medical certificate, FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit, and a valid passport enabling unrestricted international travel.
- Unwavering commitment to safety, exceptional communication and decision-making skills, and a service-oriented demeanor.
- Ability to manage demanding schedules, adapt to varying work environments, and maintain a professional appearance.
- Physical capability to handle in-flight responsibilities, including luggage stowage and passenger assistance.
- Comfort and experience working with animals and accommodating passengers who smoke.
