Purpose of the Position
The Pilot is the embodiment of the NetJets experience, responsible for providing a superior and safe air transportation experience on every flight. This role demands not only exceptional technical skill and unwavering adherence to safety protocols but also a commitment to delivering impeccable service that surpasses expectations.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Ensuring the safe operation of the aircraft throughout all phases of flight, strictly adhering to FAA guidelines, OEM Checklists, NetJets FOM/AOM, and SOPs.
- Providing a welcoming and informative pre-flight experience for Owners/passengers, including introductions, itinerary verification, weather updates, safety briefings, and explanations of any changes.
- Delivering exceptional in-flight service, including catering and beverage services, as required.
- Managing baggage handling, ensuring proper loading and stowage.
- Accommodating the needs of Owners traveling with pets or requiring smoking accommodations.
- Acting as the ultimate authority on the aircraft, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Serving as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets throughout their journey, from arrival at the FBO to departure at their final destination.
- Promptly communicating any maintenance discrepancies to the NetJets MCC Controller and meticulously completing all associated documentation.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma required.
- Certifications and Licenses: FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) written exam required. First Class Medical Certificate required.
- Experience:
- At least 21 years of age.
- 1,500 hours total flight time experience OR
- 1,250 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate OR
- 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification OR
- 1,000 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
- 200 hours cross-country (>50 nm) flight time.
- 250 hours fixed-wing PIC.
- 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings.
- 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excludes simulator time).
- ATP written completed prior to the start of Indoctrination Training.
- 50 hours fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
- Current FAA First-Class Medical certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.
- Valid passport with the ability to travel internationally without restrictions.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restriction.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage rest effectively to maintain flight readiness throughout duty periods.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and extended duty periods.
- Ability to obtain necessary airport and customs security badges.
- Valid State driver's license.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working with animals and accommodating passengers who smoke.
