Purpose of the First Officer Role
As a First Officer, you are responsible for ensuring a safe and superior air transportation experience for every NetJets Owner and passenger. You will uphold the highest standards of professionalism and customer service, acting as a brand ambassador throughout every interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe and efficient operation of aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations, OEM checklists, and NetJets FOM/AOM/SOPs.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, including pre-flight greetings, safety briefings, itinerary updates, and in-flight service.
- Manage baggage handling, catering services, and special requests, such as pet travel and smoking preferences.
- Act as the final authority on the aircraft regarding all operational aspects, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Liaise effectively with Owners/passengers and NetJets ground personnel, providing seamless travel experiences.
- Communicate maintenance discrepancies to the NetJets MCC and complete associated documentation.
Qualifications:
- FAA ATP, Restricted ATP, or meet the requirements as outlined in 61.160
- Minimum flight time experience as per FAA requirements (see detailed listing in the original text)
- Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally without restrictions
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Valid driver's license
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
- Strong service orientation with a professional appearance
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and prioritize safety and passenger satisfaction
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Adaptability to changing schedules and travel demands
- Ability to manage personal rest to maintain peak performance during duty periods
- Physical ability to handle baggage and perform required tasks
