Purpose of Position
The Pilot holds the critical responsibility of providing a superior air transportation experience while maintaining an impeccable safety record on every flight. As the face of NetJets, the Pilot ensures technically proficient and safe travel, coupled with an exceptional service experience for every NetJets Owner and passenger.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Ensuring safe aircraft operation throughout all phases of flight, adhering strictly to FAA guidelines, OEM Checklists, NetJets FOM/AOM, and SOPs.
- Providing a welcoming and informative pre-flight experience for Owners/passengers, including introductions, flight briefings, itinerary verification, weather updates, and safety demonstrations.
- Delivering impeccable in-flight service, encompassing catering and, when required, the responsible handling of alcoholic beverages.
- Managing baggage handling and stowage according to established procedures.
- Exhibiting proficiency in accommodating the specific needs of Owners traveling with pets or who smoke.
- Acting as the ultimate authority on the aircraft regarding all operational aspects, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
- Serving as the primary liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets, from their arrival at the FBO to their departure at their final destination.
- Diligently reporting any maintenance discrepancies or abnormalities to the NetJets MCC Controller and meticulously completing all associated documentation.
- Performing additional duties as assigned, recognizing that operational requirements may necessitate flexibility and adaptability.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Certifications and Licenses
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) written examination.
- First Class Medical Certificate.
Years of Experience
While specific years of experience are not specified, candidates must meet the stringent requirements for an FAA ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with a multi-engine rating, detailed further in the KSAOs section.

- Possess a valid passport and maintain the ability to travel internationally without restriction.
- Maintain authorization to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without limitations.
- Exhibit exceptional flexibility and adaptability to accommodate varying schedules and operational demands, including day/night shifts, weekends, holidays, and extended duty periods.
- Effectively manage personal rest to ensure readiness for flight duty throughout their tour.
- Possess the capability to work for extended periods, potentially up to fourteen hours per day for eight consecutive days, often spanning different time zones and encountering varying weather conditions.
- Be prepared for extended travel assignments, potentially exceeding seven days and nights, with hotel accommodations provided.
- Obtain and maintain appropriate airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges.
- Successfully complete a comprehensive Transportation Security Administration background screening.
- Possess a valid state driver's license.
- Demonstrate fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.
- Exemplify a service-oriented demeanor with a professional appearance and the ability to create a positive impression, including strong interpersonal skills for effective passenger interaction.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.
- Exhibit sound judgment and the ability to make timely, accurate decisions while maintaining meticulous attention to detail, both from a technical and passenger service perspective.
- Meet physical demands, including the ability to lift and maneuver objects weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally, 30 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.
- Comfortably work around animals, including handling and caring for pets before, during, and after Owner flights.
- Accommodate flights for Owners who smoke.
Base Salary Range
$69,932 - $95,696
