Pilot in Command - Falcon 8X

The company is seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Pilot in Command (PIC) based at White Plains, NY (KHPN), operating a Falcon 8X aircraft.

Position Overview

The Pilot in Command is entrusted with the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This role demands strict adherence to all company policies and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience for owners and passengers. The successful candidate will join a dedicated 3-pilot crew, supported by a Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant, operating under both Part 91 and Part 135 regulations. This account involves significant international flying, approximately 70% to destinations throughout Europe, as well as domestic routes to Colorado, California, and Florida. The team includes a seasoned and experienced Lead PIC. Excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a steadfast focus on safety and service are essential attributes for this position.

Key Responsibilities

The Pilot in Command's duties encompass, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensuring Safe Flight Operations:
    • Verifies that crewing and trip assignments align with company and regulatory standards.
    • Performs comprehensive flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
    • Leads required briefings utilizing the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to effectively mitigate operational risks.
    • Complies strictly with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and collaborates with company personnel as necessary. Serves as the Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator in accordance with company policy.
    • Completes all aircraft pre-flight inspections and confirms the maintenance status to ensure mission readiness. Records all aircraft discrepancies according to company SOPs.
    • Monitors and oversees all aircraft ground servicing activities, including fueling, oil checks, and oxygen levels, ensuring compliance with SOPs.
    • Conducts thorough passenger briefings in line with company policy and regulations. Delivers the highest standard of customer service, accommodating any special needs of passengers.
    • Applies Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to maintain clear and timely communication with the crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency situations.
  • Delivering Exceptional Service:
    • Provides superior service to owners and passengers, actively seeking opportunities to elevate the EJM service experience. Proactively investigates and resolves any service deviations.
    • Collaborates effectively with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to ensure a consistent and high-quality service experience for owners and passengers. Addresses conflicts and challenges constructively.
  • Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
    • Ensures all regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience are current.
    • Adheres to the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program, reporting any safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Dassault experience is required, with a strong preference given to candidates already typed in the Falcon 8X.
  • Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is preferred.
  • Must possess an FAA Type rating relevant to the applicable fleet (Falcon 8X).
  • Must be capable of performing all essential functions of the position.
  • Candidates must reside within a two-hour radius of White Plains, NY (KHPN) or be willing to fully self-relocate within 90 days of hire. This is a based position and relocation assistance is not provided.
  • Minimum flight time requirements:
    • Total flight time: 3500 hours
    • Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
    • Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
    • PIC MEL: 500 hours
    • Instrument: 300 hours
    • Jet: 500 hours

Base Salary Range

For this Large/Heavy/Premium cabin size aircraft, the base salary range is $260,000 – $425,000.
