Falcon 8X Pilot in Command (PIC) - White Plains, NY
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a subsidiary of NetJets, seeks a qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Falcon 8X aircraft based in White Plains, NY (KHPN). EJM has been a leader in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, operating with unwavering principles of safety, service, and integrity.
Position Purpose:
The PIC will be part of a three-pilot team, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and a Cabin Attendant, operating under both Part 91 and Part 135 regulations. The position involves approximately 70% international travel, primarily throughout Europe, with domestic flights to Colorado, California, and Florida. The successful candidate will join a team with a well-established and experienced Lead PIC.
Responsibilities:
The Pilot in Command holds the ultimate responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. The PIC adheres to all company and regulatory requirements while providing an exceptional service experience. Specific tasks and responsibilities include:
Ensuring Safe Operation of Flight:
- Ensuring crewing and trip assignments are compliant with company and regulatory requirements.
- Completing flight planning, performance, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
- Utilizing Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Complying with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with company personnel as required. Acting as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Completing all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including assessing the maintenance status of the aircraft, to ensure mission capability. Recording all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Ensuring all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are monitored and accomplished in accordance with SOPs.
- Completing passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulation. Delivering the highest level of customer service and meeting any special needs of passengers.
- Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate effectively with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Providing quality service to owners and passengers while identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience. Regularly investigating and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborating with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to provide a consistent service experience to owners and passengers. Resolving conflict and challenges in an acceptable manner.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintaining regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Complying with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, detail-oriented, and focused on safety and service. Specific requirements include:
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation preferred.
- FAA Type rating in applicable fleet.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Dassault experience is required, with preference given to candidates typed in the Falcon 8X.
- Must reside within a two-hour radius of White Plains, NY (KHPN), or be willing to fully relocate within 90 days.
Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Compensation:
The base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $425,000, commensurate with experience and aircraft type.
