Pilot in Command – Falcon 8X – Executive Jet Management
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a leader in aircraft management and global jet charter services since 1977, seeks a highly skilled Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Falcon 8X based at White Plains, NY (KHPN). This is a three-pilot operation supported by a dedicated maintenance technician and cabin attendant, operating under Part 91 and 135 regulations. Ideal candidates possess extensive Falcon experience, a proven record of international flights, and reside within a two-hour driving radius of KHPN. A current Falcon 8X type rating is preferred.
Responsibilities:
The PIC is ultimately responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the aircraft. This encompasses:
- Ensuring Flight Safety: Adherence to all company and regulatory requirements, including meticulous flight planning (performance, weight and balance calculations), utilization of Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to mitigate risks, and strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The PIC also serves as the Ground and In-Flight Security Coordinator as per company policy. Pre-flight inspections ensuring aircraft airworthiness are paramount, with diligent recording of any discrepancies. Furthermore, the PIC oversees all ground servicing (fueling, oil, oxygen) in accordance with SOPs. Finally, the PIC conducts thorough passenger briefings, delivering exceptional customer service and accommodating any special needs.
- Providing Superior Service: The PIC actively contributes to an exceptional passenger experience, proactively identifying opportunities for service enhancement and effectively resolving any service deviations. Collaboration with crew members and EJM partners ensures a consistent high standard of service, including skillful conflict resolution.
- Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance: The PIC maintains all required regulatory and company training, ensuring recency of experience. Proactive reporting of safety concerns or instances of non-compliance via appropriate channels is also critical, aligning with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program.
Qualifications:
- Significant experience in corporate/business aviation is strongly preferred.
- FAA Type Rating in the applicable fleet is mandatory.
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
- Minimum flight hours:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC): 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Compensation and Benefits:
