Executive Jet Management - Pilot in Command
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a pioneer in aircraft management and global jet charter services since 1977, seeks a highly skilled Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Falcon 8X based at EWR. This Part 91 operation within a three-pilot account, supported by a dedicated maintenance technician, offers an exceptional opportunity for a professional committed to safety and superior service.
Purpose of the Position:
The PIC is ultimately responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This encompasses adherence to all company and regulatory requirements, while consistently delivering an unparalleled customer experience.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Safe Flight Operations:
- Ensuring compliance with all company and regulatory requirements regarding crewing and trip assignments.
- Comprehensive flight planning (performance calculations, weight and balance).
- Utilizing Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to mitigate operational risks.
- Adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ground and in-flight security coordination, per company policy.
- Pre-flight aircraft inspections, recording of discrepancies, and monitoring of ground servicing (fueling, oil, oxygen).
- Conducting passenger briefings, providing exceptional customer service and catering to any special needs.
- Effective communication with crew and support personnel using Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) techniques during all phases of flight.
Exceptional Service Delivery:
- Consistently providing superior service to owners and passengers, proactively identifying and resolving service deviations.
- Collaboration with crew members and internal EJM partners to maintain a consistent and positive customer experience.
- Effective conflict resolution skills.
Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintaining regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Active participation in the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program, including reporting safety concerns through appropriate channels.

Qualifications:
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation (preferred).
- FAA type rating in the applicable fleet (required).
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
- Minimum flight time requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
