Pilot in Command - Praetor 600
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a subsidiary of NetJets and part of the world's largest private aviation infrastructure, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) to operate a Praetor 600 aircraft based at Washington, DC (KIAD). Purpose of Position:
The PIC will be responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the Praetor 600, adhering to all company and regulatory requirements while providing an unparalleled service experience to our clients. This is a two-pilot account operating under Part 91 regulations, with a pre-determined schedule that includes approximately 25% international travel.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Ensuring Safe Flight Operations:
- Ensure crew assignments and trip planning comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough flight planning, performance calculations, and weight & balance assessments for each assignment.
- Employ the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead pre-flight briefings and effectively mitigate operational risks.
- Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinate with company personnel as required.
- Act as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator, as defined by company policy.
- Complete all pre-flight aircraft inspections, including the maintenance status, to ensure the aircraft is mission-ready.
- Record any aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Monitor and oversee all aircraft ground servicing requirements (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) according to SOPs.
- Conduct passenger briefings, adhering to company policy and regulations, delivering exceptional customer service, and addressing any special needs (e.g., physically challenged passengers).
- Utilize Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate effectively and promptly with crew and support personnel during all phases of operation.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provide high-quality service to owners and passengers, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
- Regularly investigate and address any service deviations.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to ensure a consistent and seamless service experience for owners and passengers.
- Resolve any conflicts or challenges in a professional and appropriate manner.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience requirements.
- Adhere to the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program, reporting any safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of professional flight experience.
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is strongly preferred.
- FAA Type Rating for the applicable fleet.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Meet the following minimum time requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
