DA7X Pilot in Command
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a subsidiary of NetJets, is seeking a qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for a DA7X aircraft based in Racine, Wisconsin at RAC airport. EJM has been a leader in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977. This position is part of a three-pilot team supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician, operating under both Part 91 and Part 135 regulations, serving both international and domestic destinations.
The Pilot in Command is ultimately responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. The PIC adheres to all company policies and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ensures the Safe Operation of Flight:
- Verifies that crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory mandates.
- Completes flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each flight assignment.
- Employs Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to conduct thorough briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Adheres to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and liaises with company personnel as needed. Serves as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as per company policy.
- Completes all pre-flight aircraft checks, including verifying the aircraft's maintenance status, to ensure mission readiness. Records all aircraft discrepancies according to company SOPs.
- Ensures that all aircraft ground servicing tasks (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are monitored and completed in compliance with SOPs.
- Conducts passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulations. Provides the highest level of customer service, addressing any special needs of passengers.
- Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate effectively and promptly with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency situations.
- Delivers an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provides outstanding service to aircraft owners and passengers, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience. Investigates and resolves service deviations promptly.
- Collaborates with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to provide a consistent and superior service experience to owners and passengers. Resolves conflicts and challenges constructively.
- Maintains Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintains all regulatory and company-required training and currency.
- Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) and reports safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.
Certifications and Licenses:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
- First Class Medical Certificate
Years of Experience:
4-6 years of experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs):
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation preferred.
- FAA Type rating in applicable fleet.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
