Pilot-in-Command
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a subsidiary of NetJets and a pioneer in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, seeks a highly qualified and experienced Pilot-in-Command (PIC) to join its Crew Services team. The Pilot-in-Command will provide support to multiple EJM Part 91 and Part 135 accounts from a home-based location. He/She is responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of flight assignments, reporting directly to the Chief Pilot or designee. The PIC must maintain thorough knowledge of and compliance with the Company GOM, Operations Specifications, LOAs, FAA Regulations, Aircraft Flight and Equipment manuals, and all other information pertinent to each flight. As the final authority regarding aircraft operation, the Pilot-in-Command may deviate from 14 CFR 91 and 14 CFR 135 only to the extent necessary to address emergencies involving the safety of persons or property.
Schedule: Five days off are selected by the pilot each month.
Monthly Flying: The pilot will be scheduled for 16 flying days each month, with compensation provided for any additional days worked.
Trip Profile: Trips may vary in day length and destinations, both domestic and international.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Receive initial briefing from the Flight Center, including crewmember regulatory compliance, show time/departure details, FBO information, flight specifics (distance, time, fuel), passenger information, catering/transportation requests, noise abatement procedures, security concerns, and airport limitations. Brief and assign duties to the Second-in-Command while retaining overall responsibility for task completion.
- Prepare or supervise preparation of flight plans, considering weather, terrain, aircraft weight and performance, range, physiological factors, airport facilities, and navigational resources.
- Review aircraft maintenance records to ensure airworthiness, inspection currency, MEL compliance, and overall flight readiness. Report any aircraft or systems irregularities according to company procedures.
- Supervise or conduct preflight inspections of the aircraft, verifying structural, mechanical, and electrical soundness, and ensuring the presence of required documentation and safety equipment. Monitor all ground servicing, restricting aircraft access to authorized personnel.
- Evaluate and coordinate handling of passenger special needs. Assign crew/passenger assistance during emergency evacuations. Inspect passenger identification and ensure compliance with all security procedures.
- Ensure passenger briefings meet 14 CFR 135.117 (for 135 flights) and 14 CFR 91.519 (for 91 flights). Review company flight manifests prior to flight, confirming currency with the Flight Center. Complete and forward Anomaly Reports for any unusual occurrences related to the aircraft, transportation, catering, or passengers.
- Maintain and provide a copy of his/her First Class Medical Certificate monthly. Comply with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program, reporting any safety, security or quality recommendations or non-compliance observations.

- Strong prioritizing and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple high-level priorities.
- Proactive decision-making skills.
- Availability for on-call duty 24/7 with company-provided communication device.
- Valid Medical certificate.
- FAA Type rating in the applicable Fleet type (may be required).
- Ability to maintain a high service standard within a strict and changing regulatory environment.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Meet all FAA and other government requirements for operating an aircraft in the 91/135 environment.
